Manager, Quality, QAQC Program Owner needed by Celanese Corporation in Bishop TX to develop, maintain, and execute safety and environmental plans for laboratory areas. Oversee analytical methods of various units. Ensure the gauge reproducibility and repeatability analysis of quality methods are established, followed, and within specification limits. Address issues or upgrades related to testing equipment, quality methods, and sample standards. Ensure that quality control activities are conducted in conformance with company policies, regulatory agencies, and acceptable working practices. Collaborate with manufacturing experts and quality system managers to investigate and resolve quality issues in the process and customer complaints for non-conformance. Complete internal and external assessment of program execution, develop and administer feedback measures, and review results for drift prevention and future alignment. Maintain approved and agreed upon specification limits for finished product or raw material quality. Collaborate with quality system managers to update and communicate changes to the quality limits. Ensure a system is in place for routine and special request laboratory testing. Provide training for quality related programs, methods, practices, and technology systems. Maintain records for all tested, released, rejected, and waived product and raw material for the site. Provide data and trends to internal and external stakeholders on product and raw material quality. Ensure chemical inventories and supplies are available. Collaborate with the quality system managers to coordinate any external laboratories testing as needed. Monitor daily statistical control limits. Maintain environmental state permit for wastewater treatment. Investigate QN on non-conformance issues. Retest non-conformance of retains and customer return non-conformance material. Maintain compliance with ISO training requirements on lab methods, calibrations, equipment, and standard lab practices. Maintain documented procedures and instruction for control of documents and maintain traceability and preservation of internal lab documentation. Monitor and maintain the chemical inventory database and monitor supply usage and availability. Maintain safety objectives, update wall charts, perform safety inspections, and track lab safety KPI's. Drive continual improvement via root cause analysis (RCA) investigations, implement corrective actions and preventive actions (CAPA), and communicate findings to the organization. Develop quality management systems and workflows. Drive unit improvements in collaboration with unit team members. Analyze quality leading indicators to identify strategic improvement opportunities. Lead internal and external audits of the quality management system and track CAPs. Coordinate customer visits and quality notifications management. Communicate site customer concerns and ensure corrective measures are identified and communicated to all stakeholders. Network with peers within the industry to identify and implement quality management system improvements. Develop strategy for accurate quality measurement systems. Troubleshoot and resolve online-offline quality drifts. Develop and deliver training to internal workforces on quality systems. Provide manufacturing information to external quality groups for internal and external manufacturing certifications including ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 17025, CSA, UL, NSF, and GMP. Participate in leading, planning, and performing internal audits at different Celanese sites. Utilize knowledge of SAP Quality Management modules, Microsoft Office, Sample Manager 12.2 and 12.3, Evolve, Icap, MES (Manufacturing Execution System), and LIMS (Laboratory Information Management Systems). Supervise one (1) Sr Technician Production, four (4) Associate Technician Production, three (3) Sr Associate Technician Production, one (1) Adv Technician Production, Manufacturing Expert, and two (2) Technician Production, Process Expert.
Requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Chemical Engineering and three (3) years of experience in the job offered, or three (3) years years of experience in a related occupation ensuring that quality control activities are conducted in conformance with company policies, regulatory agencies, and acceptable working practices; monitoring daily statistical control limits; investigating QN on non-conformance issues; maintaining compliance with ISO training requirements on lab methods, calibrations, equipment, and standard lab practices; maintaining safety objectives, updating wall charts, performing safety inspections, and tracking lab safety KPI's; driving continual improvement via root cause analysis (RCA) investigations, implementing corrective actions and preventive actions (CAPA), and communicating findings to the organization; and leading the internal and external audits of the quality management system and tracking CAPs.
In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree, the employer will accept an additional two (2) years of experience in a related occupation ensuring that quality control activities are conducted in conformance with company policies, regulatory agencies, and acceptable working practices; monitoring daily statistical control limits; investigating QN on non-conformance issues; maintaining compliance with ISO training requirements on lab methods, calibrations, equipment, and standard lab practices; maintaining safety objectives, updating wall charts, performing safety inspections, and tracking lab safety KPI's; driving continual improvement via root cause analysis (RCA) investigations, implementing corrective actions and preventive actions (CAPA), and communicating findings to the organization; and leading the internal and external audits of the quality management system and tracking CAPs.
