Lead Specialist, Field Development needed by Celanese Polymer Products, LLC in Irving TX [and various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.; may work from home] to develop and execute strategies to grow the business, drive new product innovation and launch products into specific, targeted automotive segments and applications. Identify and establish relationships with new customers and manage and build relationships with existing customers. Support partners throughout sales process in sales-oriented activities including marketing, advertising, sales promotions, and training, to achieve revenue targets. Share business and industry intelligence with counterparts including marketing, research and development, tech service, and customer service to promote increased revenue and value. Use judgment to make decisions that affect own area of responsibility within the business and function. Provide internal and external technical and customer support in the development and application of products, processing techniques, and resolution of problems. Create new business for the team in the automotive industry- and primarily the Landed Japanese Operations (LJO) value chains by working externally with customers and internally with the technology and innovation group (R&D) to deliver new innovative and value-added solutions. Create a pool of development programs to define the customer needs and opportunities. Connect with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) and automotive 1st Tiers, connecting with teams around the globe with an emphasis on Japan, and understanding the trends and needs in the automotive application. Work with teams from around the globe with an emphasis on Japan to develop a solution for the application. Develop the database on working with the customer, 1st Tier and even Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) to prove that this is the correct solution. Develop consensus on our proposed solution across the entire value chain, OEM, 1st Tier, buying customer and potentially in multiple regions. Develop and implement strategies for business growth, new product launches, and identifying and targeting specific automotive segments and applications. Utilize customer relationship management tools to identify and establish relationships with new customers, as well as managing and building relationships with existing customers. Administer Customer Relationship Management (CRM) to track programs including managing reseller partners including dealers, systems integrators, value-added resellers, distributors, and retailers in the engineering plastics industry. Meet goals include supporting market segmentation, managing initiatives and coordinating marketing activities for product lines to develop and maintain strong brand awareness, developing long and short term for specific customer groups or applications, and managing long-term opportunities within the marketplace and preparing plans to develop, test, and launch new products. Support segment, target, and influence key decision makers primarily in the North American Landed Japanese Operations (NALJO) automotive value chain to drive rapid extension of successful applications. Utilize account planning tools, margin management tools, and electronic technology to develop and share account plans with appropriate stakeholders. 50% Domestic Travel Required.
