Overview:

The Maintenance Manager at the Bishop, Texas site will be responsible for improving the safety, reliability, and efficiency of the plant assets by providing effective solutions to reliability and maintenance issues through the application of engineering expertise. The Maintenance Manager leads the maintenance team to achieve maintenance/reliability site goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensures that maintenance is conducted to support stewardship (EHS) compliance, quality compliance, and reliability initiatives.
  • Responsible for site-wide Maintenance processes at a level that achieves maximum safe economical reliability of operating equipment and its related process systems.
  • Works with Mechanical Integrity team to ensures appropriate reliability strategies are in place for equipment. Drives long term reliability improvement, Bad Actor Improvements and Single Point of Failure elimination. Ensures creation of robust predictive and preventative maintenance care plans and spare equipment stock.
  • Lead/mentor a strong Safety Program and actively look for new ways to improve, be a role model, and an active promoter of safe work habits.
  • Ensures ITPM's and PMs are executed on schedule.
  • Audit the Maintenance/Construction Teams contributions, performance, and integration to ensure the business needs are being met and we are in compliance with Government regulations, industry and company standards.
  • Drives continuous improvement through 5S principles, RCA completion, and Corrective/Preventative action resolution for systemic failures.
  • Coordinates strategy repairs / replacement with Assets Leader.
  • Leads and provides direction on Mechanical Integrity programs and technical directives, including the reliability roadmap.
  • Optimize outage schedules to ensure work is completed efficiently and production supply plans are met.
  • Provides input on vendor selection through procurement.
  • Ensures changes are appropriately documented on various platforms – SAP, equipment files, etc.
  • Networks with peers at other sites and across industry to identify and adopt best practices for technology and reliability programs.
  • Participates as a core member for MOC’s, PHA’s, etc.
  • Spends routine time in the field to audit work process and work performance.
  • Analyzes data and completes field inspections to proactively identify emerging reliability issues.

Qualifications:

Required

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience in maintenance related role
  • Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience in reliability
  • Continuous improvement experience – 5S or Lean Six Sigma
  • Experience in applying reliability philosophies in maintenance
  • Effective communication
  • Excellent computer skills
  • ERP (resource planning) experience
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to manage complexity and make complex decisions
  • Ability to understand production scheduling and capabilities
  • Ability to identify emerging issues and create strategy to address
  • Problem-solving

 

Desired

  • Bachelor's degree in technical field a plus
  • 8-10 years of experience of maintenance role in industrial environment desired
  • Experience with root cause analysis
