Overview:

The Energy Analyst will play a critical role in analyzing and optimizing our energy procurement strategies, supporting our manufacturing facilities, and ensuring cost-effective and sustainable energy solutions. This position requires a deep understanding of the US power and gas markets, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and monitor trends in the US power and gas markets to inform procurement strategies.
  • Develop and maintain energy cost forecasts for manufacturing facilities in the Americas.
  • Evaluate and negotiate energy contracts with suppliers to ensure cost efficiency and reliability.
  • Collaborate with the sustainability team to integrate renewable energy sources into our energy portfolio.
  • Perform financial analyses to identify market insights and recommendations to senior management on energy procurement strategies.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations on energy market developments, risks, and opportunities.
  • Support the implementation of energy efficiency projects across manufacturing facilities.
  • Stay updated on regulatory changes and their potential impact on energy procurement and pricing. 
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies related to energy procurement.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the US power and gas markets, including market dynamics, regulations, and pricing mechanisms.

Qualifications:

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Energy Management, Economics, Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience, preferably in energy analysis
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software, such as Excel, Power BI, Python, or other relevant applications.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present findings to diverse audiences.
  • Experience in contract negotiation and supplier management.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Knowledge of renewable energy sources and sustainability practices is highly desirable.
