Overview:

The Maintenance Planner & Scheduler is responsible for ensuring that maintenance activities are planned, scheduled, and executed efficiently. This role is key to optimize equipment reliability and reduce downtime by coordinating the resources and schedules necessary for preventive and corrective maintenance.

Responsibilities:

  • Carries out maintenance job planning and scheduling for the site, including Mechanical, I&E, piping, weld repairs, scaffolding & insulation.
  • Preparation activities prior to jobs being started in the field including organizing externally supplied equipment or contractors
  • Prepares weekly schedules in collaboration with Operations, Technical, and Maintenance teams.
  • Develops cost estimates as needed
  • Planner gets required quotes for the jobs and enters requisitions for the required parts/services
  • Plans job packages (kits) to be used in the performance of maintenance work in response to plant service requests
  • Proactively plans and finalizes any outage work prior to the scheduled deadlines
  • Utilizes a continuous improvement process that systematically addresses deficiencies and improvement opportunities in the planning, scheduling, execution and other relevant processes
  • Work orders are analyzed by the Planner to ensure correct classification (priority), validity, planning, and correct interpretation as part of the planning process.
  • The Planner offers counsel on the completion of the work order and follows-up when work has been completed regarding the job pack quality.
  • This anchor position must communicate with Operations, Technical, Maintenance and managerial personnel to ensure optimization of the planning process.
  • Follows-up on relevant action items from RCAs or learning teams.
  • Maintain good standing relationships with vendors

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years in maintenance, engineering, or related fields in a heavy industrial environment
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, piping, hydraulic, and pneumatic process systems as needed to perform job requirements
  • Interpersonal skills to liaise with the rest of the Maintenance Team, Manufacturing and QA Technicians, and Supervisors
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft applications including Excel, Outlook, and Word
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills 
  • Self-driven with minimal oversight of work

Preferred Qualifications

  • SAP plant maintenance experience 
  • Execution planning experience 
  • Site Global Reliability system experience 
  • Knowledge of Plant Procurement Process 
  • Working knowledge of Gantt charts 
  • Experience with scheduling programs such as P6 and MS Project 
  • Enoree specific process equipment knowledge
