Overview
The First Line Supervisor, also known as the "Shift Specialist" or "Production Specialist" will coordinate the assigned Area Operations Shift Team. This Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that all production activities are completed in a safe (EH&S Policies and Procedures) and efficient manner within their respective areas. This role will coordinate daily duties with the Celanese Chemical and Process Operator personnel. The Shift Specialist will work closely with the area Day Support team. This person must maximize production to schedule while engaging team members in continuously improving operational performance. This job will provide functional leadership to drive continuous improvement activities in the area.
The Shift Specialist is responsible for a team of 10 employees.
The role an onsite, in-person position located at: 8480 DuPont Road, Washington, WV 26101
The first line supervisor will work a 12-hour rotating shift schedule.

QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED
• High School Diploma or GED
• 7+ years in Industrial / Manufacturing Industry
• 3+ years Proven/Demonstrated Leadership
• Computer Skills - MS Office Suite including Power Apps
• Experience using SharePoint
• Multi-Tasking skills and experience
• Lean Manufacturing experience
PREFERRED
• Experience working in Chemical Manufacturing
• Experience handling High Hazard situations, with a full understanding of the process
• SAP experience (plant maintenance/ERP software)
• Black Belt or Green Belt – project experience or knowledge
• 5S Projects - experience
• SIS trained Safe Work Permit Trained - Including Life Critical
