Job Summary:
This position is responsible for partnering with key stakeholders across the business to support global learning initiatives and technical training programs through the organization. They will solidify our global learning approach, institute learning governance, and consult and influence the organization to more effectively deliver and deploy learning. Learning initiatives and technical programs include: new hire training / onboarding, job specific training, product and technology training, safety/standard adherence, compliance, regulatory certifications, and skill-building. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in building and executing strategic learning plans along with strong communication skills – must have the ability to work in a dynamic and fast moving environment, partnering with others across the globe to design effective, scalable learning training solutions.
Primary Responsibilities / Key Activities:
Learning Consultation for Functional Learning
- Partner with Director of Learning to Consult with various functions as needed to assess learning needs as they arise. Stakeholders including but not limited to: HR, Legal, IT, Finance, Manufacturing, Customer Experience, Supply Chain, Commercial / Sales
- Create a playbook for conducting learning needs assessment. Advise to ensure learning initiatives are directly aligned to business needs, with clear objectives and outcomes for success.
- As needed, partner with subject matter experts and technical staff to gain deeper knowledge of business related procedures, products, systems, technologies, etc. to provide effective learning consultation.
- Suggest effective methods of training and provide recommendations to business on design of programs to meet needs. Provide advisory support to stakeholders in the complete life cycle of the project, from the requirements phase to implementation.
Learning Community & Vendor Management
- Develop a best practice toolkit with standards for program design, including how to use various learning solutions and methodologies to maximize effectiveness.
- Partner with procurement, to source external programs as needed. Manage vendor agreements, licensing strategy, and monitor the quality of programs provided. Ensure effective budgeting and cost-effective use of resources.
- Develop sample project plans and other resources to enable stakeholders to effectively manage learning implementations. Consult on communication needs to effectively implement learning initiatives.
Learning Governance & Learning Management System
- Partner with HRIS and IT to oversee the learning management system, for a user experience perspective, to direct configuration and enhancements needed.
- Put processes into place to enable effective governance of the learning management sytsem (i.e. request forms, approval processes, escalation/ticketing for support)
- Provide direct oversight in managing critical LMS Functionality at the global level (i.e. learning data, course catalog/library, reporting, etc.). Provide direction and support to HRIS, IT, Local and Global LMS Administrators to ensure compliance to system governance and standards.
