Responsibilities:

LOCATION - REMOTE

The Technical Sales - Industrial, Medical and Consumer Goods role is a multi-faceted customer / market facing position responsible for driving new business growth through an entrepreneurial mindset and rigorous SFDC Opportunity Build & Development process.  This role is responsible for:

 

  • Deliver growth by solving existing and new customers’ problems and commercializing new applications.
  • Build SFDC pipeline by scouting, targeting and identifying new growth opportunities at new and existing customers.
  • Drive application development projects from initiation to commercialization; able to articulate CE EM product value propositions and influence key decision maker along the value chain
  • Build in-depth industry/segment knowledge to anticipate trends and changes, and bring internally “Voice of the Customer” and new product/technology development opportunities
  • Perform preliminary evaluations on select new technologies, market applications or market segments.
  • Collaborate with global commercial teams (Sales, Marketing, and Technical Service) to ensure project/pipeline delivery; Support/participate in growth teams and share experience/knowledge internally
  • Work closely with value chain partners to generate leads and obtain specifications wins

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Material Science, or Engineering (Chemical Mechanical, Plastics or Equivalent) required
  • Experience - minimum 5-10 years industrial skill in developing applications for high performance engineered polymers in Industrial, Medical and Consumer industries.  Previous roles could have been sales, marketing, technical service, or other relevant customer facing experiences
  • Proven prospecting skills
  • Enterprise oriented with strong business acumen skills
  • Results driven - passion to focus on and help customers with an urgent business growth mindset
  • Demonstrated project management experience
  • Possesses the following Competencies - Communication proficiency, initiative, teamwork focused, personal relationship building, effectiveness/credibility, technical capacity, project management, time management
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Willingness to travel 30-50% of the time with overnight stay(s) involved
  • Airline travel when distances do not reasonably permit driving
  • A valid motor vehicle operator’s license - ability to drive distances between several locations on a daily / weekly basis
  • The ability to work remote without direct day to day management supervision
  • Knowledge of and use of IT business systems including MS Business Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc…) and Salesforce
  • Workday / hour flexibility based on customer business need (ex. meetings, conferences etc..)
  • The ability to work legally in the required jurisdiction; No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position 
  • Experience with CAE / Moldflow a plus
