Responsibilities:

This position requires working within a team environment to draw on experience in accounting and taxation to provide assistance with the tax implications of Celanese's international operations. Candidates will identify tax issues and provide tax analysis for Celanese's international entities.
Core responsibility is Manage outside service provider in preparation of the U.S. international aspects of the quarterly and annual tax provisions (e.g., subpart F, GILTI, E&P, and foreign tax credit estimates). Knowledge of local country statutory rules and ability to review local country provision from a U.S. GAAP perspective a plus.

Additional responsibilities include:
- Researching and preparing materials for projects related to tax planning considerations and initiatives
- Working closely with consultants on provision impacts and review of various tax planning projects
- Coordinating control evidence (SOX) for the international tax group
- Working on various projects related to process improvements
- Supporting the international tax team and consultants on various compliance, provision, and project-based tasks

Qualifications:

6-8 Years of Experience

Bachelors of Science in Accounting, Economics, Finance or equivalent required; Masters in Tax or Accounting preferred.

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred.

Juris Doctor (JD) or Master of Laws (LLM) is a plus.

Knowledge of U.S. tax laws, including GILTI, Subpart F, E&P, FTCs, etc. Understanding of U.S. structuring rules (1248, 964(e), Subchapter C, etc. and foreign tax rules a plus). Detail oriented and able to understand, identify, and research complex issues. Assist in driving processes to completion. Ability to lead and develop less experienced staff; great organization skills; good critical thinking skills; problem solver.

- Experience with BCS
- Experience with accounting procedures and policies
- Experience working with or for a Fortune 500 company
- Experience working for Big 4 accounting firm a plus
- Demonstrated learning agility and desire to learn
- Experience researching complex corporate and partnership tax issues
