Responsibilities:

  • Prepare/review quarterly/annual tax provisions for foreign group of entities as a part of global tax provision.
  • Assist researching the US GAAP rules ensure the accuracy of the financial statement reporting.
  • Prepare/Review BCS quarterly/annual JE's related to tax provision.
  • Prepare information request and coordinate outsourced tax preparation work.
  • Prepare global ASC 740-10 (FIN48) summary/rollforward and communicate AP entries to the appropriate accounting centers on a quarterly basis.
  • Prepare account reconciliation for various US and foreign tax accounts in accordance with Celanese Policies and Procedures.
  • Assist federal proforma corporate income tax returns for consolidated group.
  • Coordinate control evidence (SOX) for the global tax provision.
  • Review various book to tax adjustments.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent work or education-related experience.
  • 3-5 years experience with a Fortune 500 company or public accounting firm.
  • Knowledge of ASC 740 tax accounting principles and concepts.
  • Knowledge of US federal income tax laws and principles.
  • Experience with preparation of corporate federal income tax returns (Form 1120).
  • Experience with large consolidated group tax returns.
  • Advanced level of use/knowledge of Excel.
  • Experience with account reconciliations.
  • Team player.
  • Thorough and attentive to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities.
  • Experience with SAP/BCS.  Longview experience is a plus.
  • Experience with accounting procedures and policies.
  • Experience with researching corporate tax issues.
