Responsibilities:

Position Summary:

  • Running the day to day management of all aspects of Procurement operations.
  • Lead the local team that executes transactions for Raw Materials, MRO, and Corporate Services – to ensure reliable supply of goods a service
  • Work together with the regional leaders to develop and integrate the local team with the Americas Strategic Sourcing Team.
  • Help develop and execute a strategy for Procurement Operations and how it integrated with Accounts Payable and Strategic sourcing
  • Support the Procurement Operations manager in executing the departmental strategy, work on improvement and automation ideas.
  • Reporting to the Manager Procurement Operations

 

Areas of Responsibility:

  • Ensure that team executes procurement transactions and data maintenance in SAP with good quality
  • Ensure compliance with BCP, and Celanese Policies and Procedures
  • Standardize Procurement Ops processes and improve efficiency and effectiveness
  • Work with Strategic Sourcing Leaders on relationship management and issue resolution needs with key suppliers
  • Ensure proper staffing and development of personnel
  • Lead the improvement / development of departmental policies and training documents
  • Deliver according to agreed service requirements
  • Lead department process and system improvement initiatives

Qualifications:

Requirements:

  • 3-5 Procurement experience
  • Familiarity with SAP transactions
  • Experience in leading a team of individual contributors
  • Ability to lead projects
  • Excellent problem solving and communication skills
  • Ability to liaise with other Departments and Business Stakeholders
  • Pro-active attitude, great coordination skills
  • Fluent English
  • Understanding of P2P (purchase-to-pay) process is an advantage
