Responsibilities:

Manufacturing Expert - Quality

The Manufacturing Expert – Quality ensures excellent unit operation through anticipation of potential emerging issues, clear prioritization, and integration between Operations and Quality Objectives.  They should have strong knowledge of the process, product, equipment, standards, and work flows to effectively manage and direct operations. The ME-Quality should have strong problem solving skills and organizational savvy to create schedules and action plans to ensure continuous  improvement in Quality.

 

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Models Celanese leader expectations and actively coaches/mentors the Team Captains and Process Experts on topics to improve overall quality for the Unit.
  • Tracking and executing performance
  • Addresses emerging operational issues related to Operations
  • Maintain and update the Quality Systems
  • Maintain production of high quality product through equipment and process troubleshooting
  • Implement new processes and equipment as required to enhance product performance or consistency
  • Provide guidance to Manufacturing team members on line support, leads problem solving processes and root cause analysis
  • Assist in planning, organizing, and reporting on trials
  • Develop and Implement improvement plans for common manufacturing losses
  • Assist in process, product, or customer concern problem solving activities
  • Liaison with corporate Technology groups to support information exchange

Qualifications:

  • BS in Engineering discipline
    • Chemical Engineering a plus
  • Minimum 0-5 years of manufacturing experience
    • The following experience is a plus:
      • Chemical manufacturing
      • Manufacturing Operations
  • Strong organizational skills; ability to manage multiple projects/tasks/programs.
  • Self-directed, self-starter and ability to operate/prioritize with ambiguity
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong collaboration and influence skills
